Can You Say 'Indigestion'?

Indigestion. It's that horrible feeling that you get in your stomach and chest, that bloated fullness that can only be relieved through incredibly loud belching and burping! Yuck!

Sunday night we went out to eat. Not something that we do very often for various reasons. (I actually enjoy cooking. We like to save our money. Once we're home, we don't usually like to go back out.) But Sunday we went out to eat. We went out to eat Chinese buffet.

After a couple of hours of nausea and general yuckiness, I realized that the meal just wasn't sitting well with me. At midnight on Sunday, I had to take an antacid. No clue really what I took since I rarely have indigestion and just grabbed whatever was in the cabinet for this malady.

And on Monday afternoon I might have sworn that I had had food poisoning -- a remote possibility, but really doubtful -- when I had felt just nasty all day -- heavy heartburn and frat house burps off and on all day.

The conclusion: I don't think I'll be eating Chinese any time soon. Maybe never again.
